about

this song actually is a newer version of the first song i can really remember writing, when i was 14. it had no lyrics or vocals originally so those were added much later. the guitar riffs are close to the same as the original song, just maybe slightly better. the ending was a last minute idea but i like it alot and added it as an outtro to the song.

lyrics

verse:
i can see in your window
but i won't look
the love that hides there
waits with bait and hook
these streets are the city's intestines
winding about in seemingly patternless copulations

chorus:
i'll fill the spaces
with myself
it wakes up loud (2x)
it takes years & years
to go nowhere

verse:
i sit outside your window
but i won't speak
the girl that hides there
waits for me to peek
the city falls in love with itself
only to eventually become strangled by it

chorus:
i'll fill the spaces
with myself
it wakes up loud (2x)
it takes years & years
to go nowhere (2x)
