about

you know when you're too drunk to stand? well when i recorded this song i was 'too drunk to sit' as they say. i was living in a "crack house" (not by intent) & was understandably depressed. so, naturally, i drank a couple 40's & started recording some weird guitar stuff. by the time i was ready to put vocals on it, i was so drunk i couldn't even sit up. so, naturally, i laid down and read a poem from one of my 'books' as they say, and there was this song. the 1st track on my 1st album. and probably more drunk than (almost) any track i've recorded by myself. hell, i like it.

lyrics

tarpit pavement
claws at ankles
in a white hot summer
i feel like
i'm the king
of a cardboard jungle
